Staccato and Slur Two

A slur is when you combine two or more notes into the same bow stroke. Staccato is a short, hammered bow stroke. In order to combine the two, we do a short staccato bow stroke stop in the middle of the bow then continue with another short staccato bow stroke to complete the sound. It's the same as slurring two notes; you're just adding the staccato stop in-between the notes. After each stop,  lift your bow the same way you would do a staccato bow stroke with separate bows, but instead you just continue on down the bow.
